Looks like a tough subject to expose for , and you did very well. Comp. is great as is the BG and perfect size perch.

Very nice light -- great sharpness and detail in darks. I like the composition but might take some off the top.

Blacks and whites perfect. Super sharp. And a very handsome bird with a great pose. The perch looks manmade :(.

    Wow! This one rocks!!
The simple bird on a stick looks awesome here.
The exposure is perfect and the IQ in the feathers is excellent.
    Well done Girish,

Lovely photo. Nice background and you nailed the exposure of the blacks and whites. He looks very "at attention". Looks like he likes having his photo taken. Vey nice.

Just amazing Girish, the detail in blacks is as good as possible to get, wonderful light and simplistic composition particularly with smooth backdrop......exceptional !

You did great job with this Sigma lens. Regarding to my experience with this lens, The results with entry level bodies is not as good as semi pro bodies, But you make some great results with your old entry level body.

Excellent portrait. Nice soft light was perfect for exposing this contrasty plumaged bird. I enjoy the way the bird has oriented itself on the perch. Would not crop anything here as the this small bird is already pretty large in the frame. Looks great as is.
I'm impressed with the sharpness at f6.3...what focal length were you zoomed to here?

    Hi Shawn,

Thanks very much for your feedback. This was shot @ 500mm.
Forgot to include that part in the exif details & thanks for pointing it out.

Wow, doubly impressed. I use the 50/500sigmaOS and seem unable to get consistently sharp results going under f8 at 500mm.
