Pretty image Karl, You nailed the exposure and the subtle color.
The most attractive duck in North America for me, more attractive than the Males IMO,
Just pastel beauties and you captured her well.

    Karl:

I agree with Dan, the hens are really special.

    Nice shooting angle, good iridescence.

Just a bit more DOF would have been nice.

    Cheers

Lovely image Karl. I have never seen a female in person (we've had a couple of stray males over the past few years who probably took the wrong turn during their migration), so it's nice to see the female displayed in such pretty a pretty way. Thank you!

I've never seen a female -- quite a subtle beauty, and the reflection on the calm water is incredible!

Hi Karl, great feather detail, and the colours really pop on her. Interesting colour to the water - I like it lots.

What a beauty Karl...this gal is so nicely coloured! Beautiful texture to the water. I feel there is a bit of a magenta cast here...I added +7 green and +2 red in "color balance"

    Thanks, Daniel.
I forgot to check for magenta cast. Thanks for the correction.

Very nice Karl. You got her at the perfect angle. The feathers have a great sheen to them and the colors are beautiful. Techs look solid too. Well done.
