Beautiful light and sharpness. Could be a touch lighter (maybe 0.20 to my taste and my screen).

Absolute cracker Chris, the pose the composition and the colours, the maggots in the bill just complete the scene - well done.

Hi Chris, excellent light and IQ, and the wheatear seems to be showing off his catch proudly, with a pose like that. Just enough perch, great BG, and your comp works well.

    One of your better images.

Very nice with backdrop to compliment the bird, detail is great including the Maggots....I presume the Maggots were use as an attraction, I have tried to use some but so far no bird has been interested

You are killing me with thesw wheatear shots. While in Nome we were unable to get good shots of these sweet little birds.
Light and BG color are beautiful,
    Gail

Thanks for looking everybody and comments,Phil,I don't use bait, these birds breed on the moors here, and the weather is warm here at the moment,I can only presume a fly has laid its eggs on some dead animal, and they have hatched and that's were its got them from.thanks again.

    Chris:

Well exposed, food item, head angle, right amount of rock, and I like the lichen's color matching the bg, all good.

I would consider a tiny sliver off the top and a matching crop from right. Personal taste, based on birds head angle.

    Cheers
