When I saw this Iris blooming along a boggy area in my yard I knew I had to shoot it right away. I did a 3 shot focus stack keeping the fstop at f5.6 to keep the bg oof

Beautiful! Great work with the stack.

What would you think about darkening the green parts a little, and maybe bringing up the exposure a little?

Cool subject and effective use of stacking. Bright, OOF short stalk on the right is screaming to be cloned out. And there seems to be a narrow band across the bottom that is strangely OOF. Stacking artifact? Anyway, suggest cropping that little bit off.

Elegant image. The iris petals are fluid.

Hi Bob. Beautiful colors on the flower and the stacking worked quite well! Good suggestions above for you to consider. The mix of dark and not-so-dark patterns in the background is a little distracting for me - you might try making the entire background very dark or black. A couple tweaks will put this one over the top!

Bob I have looked at this image a few times and it is growing on me more and more. Initially I wasn't keen on the dark background but I like it now. I think the stack worked well and I love those rich colours. I like the composition with the exception of the small leaf on the cotton RHS.

Another nice one, Bob. Tweaking it as suggested by Diane and Mitch Haimov would make it even better.

Very nice capture Bob! Good work on the stack. I like how the iris almost seems to glow from within. Good suggestions for further improvements already given above.
