    Default Striated Fieldwren

    A small wren found primarily in coastal heath areas here in southern Australia.
    D800, 300 2.8, 1.7TC, f7.1, 1/500, ISO280.

    Gorgeous! Love the striations in the colorful background...so much better than a flat color field. Looks like a natural perch too, just based on how uncontrolled the bottom of the frame looks. That is one gorgeous wren, very smartly captured.

    Great bird, erect posture, BG, light! I'm not super crazy about the larger OOF flower at bottom and I may tone down the bright legs but the image is still highly enjoyable to view.

    Hi Greg, excellent pose in stunning light, and just love that coloured BG. The wren is tack sharp too. If this were mine, I would crop up from the bottom to 'erase' the larger OOF thistle. The wren would still be placed higher in the frame.

    I think the wallabies should get a better kicker.

    Lovely composition
    great BG and a classic pose captured, super details and the perch add a lot to the image
    i love the other parts of the plant kept in the frame, wonderful image
