Good composition and I like the inclusion of the plant at left but would have like to see more of it. I like the black BG and the colors look just right for the egret.

Good portrait Michael. They can be quite colorful (and mean looking at times). I'm with Robert on wanting to see a bit more of the plant on the left though.
