    Joe:

Sharp, well exposed, like the angle in the frame.

Wish I could see the eye a bit better, but always a challenge with these fellows.

    Cheers

Sharp with a good exposure but I am not a fan of the boxy crop. Tried to right-click and copy but could not....

Thanks Andy & Arty, I posted the image in this crop to show the bird larger in the frame, right click > save image as, is working ok for me.

For several reasons the crop and the placement of the bird does not work for me; larger is not always better. When I right-click and save it seems to save it but it does not appear in the folder. If you'd like shoot me one as an e-mail attachment as I'd like to take a close look at the color balance.

Joe e-mailed me this image with the following note:

Here you go Artie, I cropped it to a 3.2.

Once I got the image into Photoshop the big CYAN cast was evident. I ran a 50% Average Blur Color Balance adjustment, did some Eye Doctor work, darkened the BLUEs in Selective Color, and added lots of canvas using the John Haedo method. Ths repost here is the result. Joe, the image design here is much more pleasing to me than either of the previous (too tight) versions.

Good job on the added canvas Artie, I like the comp, looks like somewhere in the processing a brownish tinge has been added to some of the whites.

Yes on the tinge. I wanted to share the composition and the change in sky color with you. I should have de-selected the bird. That's what I get for being lazy.
