    Default Gravid Loxosceles rufescens

    Not a spectacular picture but this is a species to watch out for with very nasty necrotic venom

    Here is a gravid female with a short time to go before she lays her eggs



    Nikon D7000
    70-300 VR with Raynox 250 @ 70mm
    f20
    1/125 SS
    ISO 125
    Hand Held with manual focus set to infinity

    Homemade extender and diffusor mounted to inbuilt camera flash

    some sharpening to the head, removal of a bright area on the abdomen and cloned out a hole in the ground bottom left

    Wow - this little gal really blends into the background colors. Nice flash work, good comp, and good sharpness within your DOF! I see some repeating patterns from your clone work in the lower left (I probably wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it ). You can easily fix that by cloning some different small bits over some of the repeated elements until the repetition is no longer evident. Overall, this is well done!
