    Default Old Tombigbee River Bridge

This is how local folks remember the old bridge. It was replaced years ago with a new bridge and fenced off from human traffic. Now it is undergoing a million dollar project to turn it into a place for people to walk and gather and possibly hold events. It is covered up so we'll have to wait until the unveiling to see how it turns out. Many residents will miss the rusty old look!

I edited it on the phone with Camera Awesome which added the dirty texture and edge and a little color effect, then I also did a Topaz Clarity light contrast adjustment and added saturation. The big job was that the new bridge is not far behind it which ruined the view and I removed it! Not much of a clone source left after removing it so it was quite a challenge and took a while.

Good job Judy! I wouldn't have guessed at the cloning if you hadn't mentioned it - tough job indeed. You really captured the essence of an old, worn, postcard image with this. Love the color palette.

Judy, exceptional processing! This looks so much like an old postcard that it's amazing. Great job

Thanks Kerry! I wish the water hadn't been so muddy that day, but as locals who saw it said, it often looks like that!

Thanks much Cheryl! That was my intention, to make it look like an old photo.

Great cloning job -- nobody would have guessed! I love it when you can do time travel like that and remove modern stuff that spoils a scene.

Thanks Hazel! I didn't do the cloning on the phone but the rest other than a slight contrast and saturation adjustment with Clarity was done on the iPhone. Camera Awesome is AWESOME and is now for Android too, I think. Oops, I forgot I added a light grunge texture in Photoshop at only about 40% opacity - you can see it most in the upper left sky.

I like the vintage look Judy and the corners curled up. I don't have a lot of patience for cloning, so well done!

What is it about bridges. I can't think of any bridge I don't like... Glad to hear it will be preserved!

I can't wait to see what it will look like. They have covered the pilings with new cement so they look brand new. They couldn't hide those but the rest of the bridge is "under wraps".

Judy, great job of cloning. Would like to see the original. The muddy water seems to fit.

Here is the image as it came off the phone before removing the new bridge and other Photoshop processing.
