    Default Damselfly

Another one with a bit more space around the damsel. The background is the morning sun being filter through trees.

Very nice, peaceful image. And something different. The damsel may not grab the viewer's attention immediately, but it does get there; as my eye wanders around the frame it does keep coming back to the subject. Composition works very well, as does the soft light. I do like the orange in the BG. Tip of the perch seems slightly soft--have you tried a little extra sharpening there? DoF otherwise perfect--the increasingly soft stalks receding into the distance work well here.

I really like the concept, the damsel on the dock looks very good indeed. For me the damsel is just a little bit lost, I would suggest a small crop top and bottom just above the grass tip and just above the base of bottom leaf, cloning out the leaf. Maybe a sliver off the right hand side, I think this would retain the environmental element whilst showing the damsel to greater effect.

The soft light, the dreamy background, the pastels of the flowers, and the dew on the damselfly combine to make this a very compelling image, Thijs! Very nicely done!
