Default Song Sparrow cleared for takeoff

Hello everyone! It's been far too long since I've posted here and one quick browse on P1 of the forum revealed me missing some amazing images! I've been pretty "busy" with other things namely my wife is now pregnant :-)

I may have to start taking pictures of other things soon :D

Anyhow, here's a song sparrow I waited patiently for to takeoff.

    Sigma 120-300 f2.8 OS (v1)
    Sigma 1.4x
    f4.5

Thanks in advance for the looks/critique!

Love this! Great IQ, beautiful BG / environment, lovely catch on the wings!

Congratulations to you and your wife!!

I love the wings up and the feet still gripping the twig. Sharp enough throughout but I still think a bit more sharpening on the face could be good. The larger OOF branch in front of the bill is unfortunate.

I find this image visually pleasing. Love the color scheme and the vertical lines of the twigs work nicely. Agree the one right in front of the bird not as pleasing but not an image killer. Nice details in your bird and like seeing the wings up.

Thank you both! Which branch are you refering to? The one that is blurred in the BG or foreground?

    Thanks!

The one that is blurred just to the left (in front of) the bird in the background.
