    From my hometown Bangalore.
    Made with Canon 450D + Sigma 150-500. Beanbag on car window.
    Not the ideal eye contact, but it was intent on scanning the ground for worms.
    Exif : F6.3, ISO 400, SS 1/500 @ 267 mm. Manual / Eval.
    Levels / 10% Crop / USM & NR on BG / Vibrance.

    Your bird is perfectly exposed and full of details. Nice angle and BG and it's fun seeing all those thorns.

    Hi Girish, love the intent stare looking for his next meal, and the colours look spot on. You have brought out the finer detail on the shrike very well. It always amazes me how birds can perch on such thorny perches and not spike themselves

    Very nice details and that perch is very neat indeed. Beautiful green BG. I do wish for a better head turn and I feel there are just a few too many branches in the lower right corner (I like the one in lower left).

    I am often amazed that birds perch on such a dangerous tree or bush and although I really like the thorny perch I wish there weren't so many in the bg right side as they seem to take away from the tail. I don't mind the birds position and you got some great detail.
