    Default Brown Falcon

Taken from the car window resting on the door a few weeks back on a Sunday drive.

Yes, the angle is steep, but pleased it was actually out in the open for a shot and the light was from the right direction for a change lol

    Canon 7D + 500 f4 + 1.4 x TC.....700mm, f6.3, 1/640, ISO 200, no flash....basic edit....smallish crop, slight selective sharpen on bird and noise reduction to backdrop, applied overall tweak in brightness

Great shot Phil, the Brown falcon is one of my nemesis, always see them but never in a good spot/close for a keeper shot. I'm not concerned with the angle love the head turn.

Very nicely done, I like the detail in the plumage and the pose, the perch and background set the bird off very well indeed. The angle from which the bird was taken doesn't look bad at all to me - you were there I wasn't and I suspect this makes you much more critical/aware.

Nice image, Phil. IQ is good excellent head turn and pose. A little more room at the top and bottom would be beneficial IMO.

Very nicely exposed shot, love the back side view with the eye contact. Anymore room on top?

Magnificent image,Phil.I like the pose, details, nice lights, beautiful two tone BG and perch.
Though conventional horizontal composition looks good with this perch,I may try vertical composition considering pose of bird.

    Regards,
    Satish.

I agree a vertical could also work nicely, I chose this initially so the branch ran diagonally almost from corner to corner...thankyou Satish

Looks great to me - could perhaps sharpen a little more on the bird...just to bring out some details on the feathers on the back. Perhaps this would highlight noise though, and you've probably already thought of this.
