This image was created yesterday morning at the Lagoon on Estero Island. I went out to shoot the Least terns and while I was out there the tide came in and the water was nearly up to my waist on the way back. Art had asked me to make the Drypods 48" instead of 43" and I needed every bit of it. This is one of the few times you get the whole bird and the wings are still clipped off by nature. Rod

Ah, the irony of the clipped wings! Pretty funny too. Love the poor fish. Only wish for a little head turn from Mr. Osprey.

There is a dark spot below the bill to be cleaned up. Besides that and a better head angle this is a fine image. I'm fine with the clipped feathers here, although I know full ones would be best.

If I would have stood back a little I would have seen the sensor dust. I liked this one because the Osprey had that forward lift off sort of look. The fish has an equal part to play in the photo as well. Rod

the fish really makes the image for me. The details and the cool green makes the image interesting, I like the detail of the talon pearcing the fish.

Wish the bird was looking back and the head was not so hot.
