    Ian...nice shot of the willet! A nice clean image!. you might consider cloning the grass blades around the willet's head but not a big deal for me. See what others say!

    Ian,

    You get it....you have developed an eye for controlling the background. I consider that the hardest thing for most amateur photographer to overcome (including myself). The opportunity here is to breath some life into that dead looking eye...add a small catch light. As you know there is a thread in the Educational and Tutorial Forum that walks thru this technique.

    More feather detail would add strength to the image as well...how large is the crop.

    On balance... well balanced frame...just beautiful!!
