The yellow feet would make them Snowy Egrets.
If it were me, the ones that are cut by or touching the edge of the frame would disappear.

Love the ghostly birds from the composite, Jackie. I like the gradient of colors too. I agree with Diane on losing a few of the birds that are cut off by the edges, though I would leave the faint birds along the edge. Nice work!

Beautiful image Jackie. I especially like the color gradient and the atmospheric feel with the pale versions of the egrets. I was once told that the Snowy Egret has to wear snow boots and that was how you could identify them.

Thanks for the comments. I took these images around four years ago on a workshop and just got around to processing them now. Just couldn't remember the type of egret.

Hi, Jackie, the gradient is a nice idea. The birds on the edges don't bother me although I could live without the one in the upper left corner.
