A young 11 month old leopardess basks in the evening sun as she awaits the return of her mother, hopefully to lead her to a good meal.Unfortunately about a week after this image was taken, this youngster was killed by hyaenas, a really unfortunate event that led to the loss of such a beautiful cat and a reminder as to the harsh reality into the dangers these animals have to face on a daily basis.Elephant Plains, Sabi Sand Game Reserve, South Africa

Hi Brendon - Sad to hear that this gorgeous leopardess didn't make it. Beautiful light and using the reduced flash for fill has worked well. IQ looks great.

Hello Brendon, great IQ on this fine beauty and such a shame to hear her life was cut short.

I be tempted to go into selective colour and select the magenta and reduce it to somewhere around 78% (that's approx where I started seeing improvements) to fix the cast on the rock by the green foliage.

You could also get away with darkening the BG a touch more IMO to really make her stand out.

    Food for thought.

Lovely light, pano composition and subtle use of fill flash, bud.
I am not seeing a magenta/green issue but not viewing on the best screen ATM.
Sad to hear of her fate...fresh in the wake of the loss of Ravenscourt from Singita too...

Is this a pano stitch perhaps?

Hi Brendon, add a Luminosity adjustment layer and you are there. Same it's a stitched image, but nice work.

Personally I suggest you move your signature to the RHC, we can then really enjoy the image.

Brendon, lovely image in good light. Love the pano which shows the long tail really well. I wish for just a bit more room at the bottom, left, and right. The 2 image stitch works really well here. Loi
