    Default Yellow Warbler

Yellow Warbler taken this morning at 7:00. Sun was climbing fast as I have more shadows than I thought. Guess I should have had a little fill flash. About 90% of FF. Audio attracted.
    EOS 1DIII, 700mm, 1/800, f/9, ISO400 A little dodge and burn on the perch.

Comments welcomed and thanks for looking. Neil

The birds colour is stunning and is complemented by a nice smooth background, as you mention the shadow detail was starting to show but it is a stand out image Neil.

Totally agree with Nick's assessment. Shadows are a very minor nit if they even are one.

nice pose and perch, I like the background too. Sharp. the red channel is blown, you can tone it down in post

Beautiful capture of this striking bird. Lovely composition, and nice complementary colors. The yellow around the neck appears a wee bit hot on my screen. Shadows mentioned don't bother me at all.

Shadows are nice here imo, just light enough to not be blocked up. Gorgeous warbler.
I dig the perch too. A crop suggestion would be to crop some off the right hand side to
just past where the shadows show on the branch going out of the frame.

The shadows are not an issue for me here either, but the yellows that are hot could / should be tamed in post. Good perch and excellent BG. Too bad you had an extra twig skimming along the edge of the tail.

Lovely bird, great pose and bg. Hot yellow's noted but easily fixed. I don't mind the shadows (yes, the sun is rising early these days.) Having the tail free of the perch would put it over the top.

Love composition among the greenery and smooth backdrop, lovely profile pose, some shadows are essential imo other wise the bird looks most unatural. My immediate thought when I first viewed this was it looks a bit bright/hot and some detail is lost as a result, should be a easy fix in editing
