    Hi Ian...this image looks good to me...nicely sharp with good feather detail . The raised foot is nice giving a sense of motion. You might play around with different crops but this works for me.

    Nice to see an adult Ian. We see mostly young ones here in the fall. I like the implied action. I'd take a bit off the top. Your rig should be producing tack-sharp images. This one is not quite there (feather detail). Could it be a heavy crop?

    OK Ian. That's useful. I'm keen to get to the bottom of this. Two things- can you show where the focus point was (using DPP). Also, could you post a crop of the image which includes the focus point and which is not resampled. In other words, a section of the image, say 1024 pixels wide, which has not been resampled or sharpened. TIA.

    Thanks, John. I never use DPP and will probably need to re-load it (a good idea anyway since I've been meaning to start using the Arash's monograph). Will try this.
