Wow, this image has so much going for it; I love the bird's wing position, the reflection and there's a ton of detail in it. I do see some sensor dust and / or spots on the water that should be cleaned-up. Great image!

    Kirsten,

Looks real good for all the reasons Chris mentioned. Nice work.

Great reflection, Kristen, nice and sharp, I'd give it a little more room at bottom, to match the top.

Super shot, Kristen...makes me drool! I agree with Fabs' comment about adding some extra canvas at the bottom.

Great image Kirsten and pin sharp. Nice to see new work of this calibre coming from Cape Town; looks like you're giving some of the old guys a run for their money! I agree with all the kudos (and would also like to mention the excellent backdrop) but also agree that your photo would benefit from additional canvas at the bottom - this was my first thought when I saw it - and you should definitely have cleaned the sensor dust before submitting the image. Both are easy to do and, once done, you'll have one of the best flight photos ever seen on BPN.

Thanks for the positive comments and good suggestions all. I've done the recommended adjustments and think it works very well.

Here's the image with more space below and dust spots/water debris removed:
