Nick I bet you were chuffed to bits when you got this on your computer! The exposure and colours are absolutely spot on, your focus and DOF couldn't be better. A really excellent shot, congratulations.

Hi Nick...This works for me! Nicely done. You might have framed it so it wasn't so completely level but had some angle to it. You might also consider a vignette to add some dimension to the bg.

Hi Nick, excellent work! I like the somewhat unusual composition and am amazed at the amount of detail you captured. You got everything perfectly in the plane of focus, although the antenna tip pointing towards us is a little soft.

Thanks for the comments it's very much appreciated. I have to say I was fairly pleased with the image as it was amongst the first set I had taken with a second hand Sigma 180mm f3.5 I had recently purchased.

Wonderful sharpness, but in addition, this little guy has a wonderful expression (Am I imagining this?) Something in his eye is very appealing!

Lovely light control on this one, and an unusual comp with the horizontal flower head, all very sharp and nice natural looking colors....maybe tone down the brights on the left hand section of the flower

You nailed this one, Nick! Excellent overall sharpness, nice even light, good colors, and a clean background! Like Bob, I'm wondering how this would look as a diagonal comp - might make an interesting alternate presentation. Excellent work!
