Organized chaos! What a great way to show all the activity over time. I especially like the curve created by the BC Night Heron in the middle and the series of Snowies at the top. I know Artie especially likes to have clean edges and no cut-off birds. Just something to consider.

Thanks, Nancy. I purposely inserted the edge birds to show the extended paths of the birds. I did not place a bird where it didn't actually exist and I didn't have the perfect bird near the edge for what I considered a balanced comp. I really don't care for some of the "clean edged" images that I have seen, they just look to perfect. In this image, I kind of think of the birds a foliage extending out? I think that I could loose the top left edge bird though, now that I look!

What a great way to show the dynamics of a rookery. I agree about losing the top bird on the edge. Great to see you posting here, Dan.

Dan, you crack me up. I love this! I agree with you about the clean margins; sometimes it makes sense and sometimes not. This one works for me, but I could see chasing out that one bird.

Wonderful concept, Dan, showing all the activity in one shot! I love the variety of birds and poses, and how the whole image flows. Very nicely done!
