I think maybe one of the best timed reflections I have seen of these birds, really very unique, a most unusual shape formed by the legs. I like the use of negative space used in this, only thing worth wishing for would be a sharper reflection to make the perfect mirror image

I agree with Robert. I love everything about this. I really like all the empty space and the pano crop was a great choice.

Stunning comp, the pano VERY effective. The reflection would have been nice if crisp, but that is how it was. My only crit is a lack of detail in blacks on head, and whites.

    Mike,

Very nicely done! Putting him all the way to the left really does it for me. Not sure I would have thought of that, but I'm glad it's presented that way.

Love the pose, and the exposure on blacks and whites looks pretty good to me. The pano comp is compelling. Maybe a little extreme, but it's nice to see something different. I do wish the reflection had a little more detail.

Sorry to be a dissenter, but I'm struggling with the composition here. All the negative space on the left might work for me if there were more room on the right and the disturbed water came to a graceful conclusion before the edge of the image. The way it is chopped off is too dissonant an element for me.

I don't mind the softness of the reflection -- that's the way it is sometimes.
