My wife and I usually go to Carden Alvar to see some special birds, such as Upland Sandpiper which breeds there. Part of it is going to be a Provincial Park very soon in an effort to save some of the grassland species. It is a good news. Here is an Upland Sandpiper image. Thanks for looking. Lovely image of this Upland Sandpiper! Saw one a couple weeks ago in Montana but didn't get anything as nice as this. Great perch too.

Brilliant composition and I really like the perch- it fills the image. The proportions here are so aesthetically pleasing to the viewer. So are the colors in the background, stunning image overall, congratulations!

    Kind regards,

Lovely shot of this Uppie, Karl. The singing, wings-up pose is wonderful, as is the layered BG. I know this species is noted for singing from fenceposts, but they're rarities around here and I've only seen one foraging in the grass. Congrats on a fine shot.

This is absolutely gorgeous Karl. I'm not sure if I like the bird or the BG better.
