Great image with wonderful detail and I like the way it's looking into the water. Great reflection also. My only comment is the dual water droplet sticks out to me in that they are identical and I guess from some cloning. If it were mine, I'd clone from another part of the image so as to remove one of them. Great photo though.

A top shot Mike, I like the birds concentration looking for food.

Serene, nice muted palette and great POV.
I know you don't usually clone so it is cool/weird that the 2 water droplets are so identical.
    Well done,
    Gail

This is a great species to have especially in breeding plumage, Mike. Love the pose, details and the smooth water. Great work.

I've only seen and photographed this species once, and it instantly became one of my favourite shorebird species. I like the feeding behaviour, and the amount of space between bill and water surface is just right. How much more luck can you have to get those two drops "floating" on the surface!

Thanks to all for the comments!

The water drops are as nature placed them. I removed one dust spot along the upper edge but no cloning otherwise.
I agree with Gail … cool and weird … but true!

No way! Was that at "our" spot? Fantastic find, Mike.

Yes, it was at "your spot"

A group of about 15 flew in on Tuesday morning. They were there intermittently for the rest of the week but I was only able to photograph them that first morning.

    A very nice shot.
Great pose, very nice light, great shooting angle, and I really like the water ripples.
    Well done.

Lovely shot of this guy in breeding plumage. Great pose, techs, low POV and water drops. Yesterday, for just a brief moment of wishful thinking, I thought I had one of these guys; but he morphed into something else. Nice find.

Real classy image of this species. Sweet breeding plumage. Technically well done and I enjoy the pose.
