    Default Deer Fantasy

This started as a deer image I made yesterday at Noxubee Wildlife Refuge. It was in high grass with a lot of miscellaneous "weeds" and plants all around. I used Topaz Adjust and was trying some of the OOTB type presets and liked this one but the deer looked awful so I painted over it with black at a high opacity. Then I duped the layer and on the bottom layer I used Oil Paint in CS6 and lowered the opacity of the Topaz version to about 60 or 70%% so some of the Oil Paint effect would show through. I like the wild colors! I also added a slight vignette since some of the corner colors were pretty bright.

Definitely a magical fantasy scene. The deer has taken on a mystical look, very different treatment. It looks metallic to me. I like the contrast between it and the background.

Hi, Judy, this does have a mystical feel to it and I like the pose of the deer. I think I'd shorten the one vertical grass that is in front of the extended leg.

Thanks Cheryl. I agree about the tall weed and will fix it later.

Looks like night vision to me. Beautiful colors and an air of mystery.

Looks like a deer in another world Judy. Like the repost w/o the taller grass.
