Here is another image of the amorous couple I had the pleasure of spending a few days with at Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge in northeast Montana.
I arrived in Malta, MT around 5 PM and met up with Melissa Groo who had already been there for a couple of days and had already scouted out this great location
for avocets, stilts, and phalaropes (Thanks, Melissa!). I'm glad I made the effort to quickly unpack my gear and get out there as it turned out to be the best evening light of my week long stay.
What a terrific opportunity and image, Mike. Lovely light and behavior. You sure did have lovely light and the exposure on the whites looks great. They sure did give you guys a great angle. The only things that could have improved an already terrific image were a water drop and/or a better far wing position, but I sure as heck wouldn't be complaining.
Great shot of these two and I like it better than the first one. The pose, exposure, detail and awesome color make for a very pleasing shot. Very well presented!
