Although good looking at any angle, it's from the back that the Bobolink really stands out. I was glad when it perched with that clearly visible, and with a good head turn to boot!
Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/200s., f/6.3, ISO 800, natural light, handheld from inside the car used as a blind (lens resting on window opening), small crop for comp, usual eye work (darken pupil, slightly dodge iris).
Excellent image Bobolink in very nice lights with wonderful composition,Daniel Sir.
Love the pose showing back side, nice head turn and slightly spread wings with wonderful details in blacks and whites great two smooth backdrop.
Every bit as good as the previous one Daniel, your exposure on the blacks is as good as it gets...great head turn as well, extra kudos for such a sharp shot at only 1/200s
superb portrait! excellent details, exposure & back pose.
Particularly like how the legs are almost hidden making
it look like the bird is hanging in thin air.
Exceptional control considering that ss.
Not seen one in the wild as yet.
Back poses show a lot of interesting plumage structure and this one is no exception.
Something different and superbly executed.
