    Default GOING AWAY

On a recent visit to Southeastern Pa., I had an opportunity to photograph this Amish couple baling hay. Before shooting, I obtained their permission to photograph them at work. I have intermittently visited this area over the last 40 years. Over the decades, manufacturing plants, parking lots , strip malls and houses have replaced many Amish farms. This image reflects my perception that this unique culture is slowly going away. Silver Efex Pro 2, Antique plate 2. C & C appreciated.

Wonderful image, Gary. This could have been shot 100 years ago. The title and the reality are sad.

I love the scene you captured and I really like that antique-look SE preset and framing. I wouldn't change a thing!
