    Default Great Blue Heron

I was out for my walk yesterday just after sunrise. I was walking the tree line when this guy came over the top of the trees headed to the pond. I don't usually get this close as I usually wear red or orange but yesterday I had a camo shirt on to keep the mosquitos off. We have issues with EEE and West Nile here.

Thats a nice clean shot of a GBH, You got good light under his wing. The bird is positioned too forward in the frame. If you are not experienced at adding canvas in photoshop This would be an easy picture to work on. Give him a little more sky to fly into.

Like your sharpness Bill. Maybe a little dark. Good suggestion by Robert to move the bird to the right in the frame; it gives the bird room to fly into.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice. I do use PS Elements but I struggle with selection tools. But I'll give that a try on this one. Thanks again :)

Nice details you acquired under the wings. I'd personally like to see a little more room all around.
