Default ID help ? The red eyes have me stumped

I was following a Gray Catbird today and noticed this bird a little deeper in the trees. If I had seen those eyes I would have stayed in that area and tried to get a better shot. I tried my Sibley Guide but no luck.

I'll have to get back out there tomorrow and try again. Some type of dove maybe ?

    Thanks in advance.

Looks to be an adult Black-billed Cuckoo to me. Nice!

Hi Bill- Great to see a Black-billed Cuckoo. They are not common. There are two cuckoos in the northeast and they look quite similar. General appearance is of a fairly big bird, white below, dark buff above, slightly hunched look, long tail with light spots on the tips of the tail feathers if you get a chance to see it, thin, decurved bill.
