    Inbound to nest with prey - I hid behind a wall

    crossed light, and a real battle with the 7D

    Tough light quality and angle. The gliding pose is OK, and the BG good (altough I would crop some from the bottom). Is the bird too red perhaps?

    I like the pose and food item, the main issue here is the harsh contrasty light which has caused a string red cast too...

    Nice capture, Richard - well done getting the prey item.

    Colour does look a bit too red on the bird. Difficult light - try earlier in the morning.

    Have you been up to Mertola? Nice Lesser Kestrels there. Lovely birds, aren't they!
