This past winter I've enjoyed watching Harry and Harriet, the Hairy Woodpecker visitors to our feeder. Last week Harriet showed up with Harry Jr. and has been feeding him bits of suet. In a perfect world there would have been eye contact with both birds, but I would have had to trade that for having Harry Jr. against the green BG. In this frame, I liked the morsel of suet at the moment of transfer, and his full adolescent belly. C&C always appreciated.

Very nice, with good action, and well done for catching the morsel in the bill. Good exposure on both the blacks and the whites. I agree about the eye contact, but the pose you have captured shows the action nicely. Good placement of the tree in the frame.
You caught the moment just right Bill. The birds are sharp, so often in this situation there is motion blur with one of the heads. Excellent flash work.
That's a fine capture of the interaction between parent and juvenile. Very well taken, I agree with your choice of angle, I'd have done the same. Your Woodpeckers are a few weeks ahead of ours it seems, maybe due to the harsh Winter we've had in England.
