All good for me; nice pose, good detail. I find it fascinating that this different species shows very similar white wing marking to RBGrosbeak, another thumbs up for Darwin!

Me personally. I would like to see a bit more perch.
    Well done.

Well done, Jon. such a clean and beautiful shot. Great call on all the techs...esp. the f/10. nice to see the perch sharp( instead of out of DOF coverage). soft light and your flash work...very nice combination there. Well executed.

Nothing much to improve upon with this one ...sharp fine detail and nicely composed...lovely clear eye with catch light. Flash control is perfect as it looks very natural and not over flashed as is often the case, detail in blacks is well controlled. Nice simplistic composition with no distracting influences in particular lovely smooth backdrop....couldn't really ask for better....but if I was to be extra picky I'd suggest more eye contact with the camera would be a slight improvement.
