Common Kingfisher

This bird is not common here. The light was not bright in the morning and was able to get the colors exactly as seen of this female. Taken at Yala wild life Park, Sri Lanka.

D800 500mm F4 + 1.4 TC taken @ F8 1/400 ISO 500 on a bean bag from vehicle. cropped,cloned a small branch behind the bird, levels and curves adjusted. NR to Bg and sharpened.

Great color , comp. and exposure. Might do a round of selective sharpen on the bird as it seems a touch soft. Perhaps a higher SS was needed???
