    This wild Turkey tom was letting me know who the boss was! They are pretty large and quite aggressive, so he wasn't getting a lot of argument from me, especially because I was on foot.
    The Canon 100-400 was great for this encounter because it allowed me to get this full bird shot at about 135 mm, plus some portrait shots at 380 - 400 mm.

    This one didn't compress very well as a jpeg so the image quality may have suffered a bit.

    Nice photo of a displaying turkey! Great detail in the plumage for the most part. The light looks a little harsh, and your crop is too tight, particularly at the bottom of the frame. Please try to post technicals on your photo submissions too. Thanks for sharing.

    I would love to get the chance at a tom in full display...you did well. I feel it rather cramped in the frame though...maybe you could have pulled the lens back completely to 100mm. Still a perfect display, what a sight!!
