It was a real treat to spend an afternoon at Bill Forbes' pond in Arizona. Absolutely overwhelming bird activity!

What do you think of this setup that I created for this fella??

I recognized that rock. Been there with Alan Murphy , and it is a fantastic spot. Love the set-up and the BG. Fine capture of a real nice bird. Might just tone down the rock a bit. It seems bright.

Lovely set up I like it very much, is there some artefact at the top of the head quill - it looks a little smudged, other than that very nicely presented. I keep looking at the plumage - is it perhaps a tad over sharpened or was it very bright light? Also perhaps the rock and lichen just a little too bright? Minor criticisms I think this is a fine image.

    Glenn,

Wonderful image! Would love to see a wider photo of the entire set-up :)

    No critiques from me!

A super picture, with great pose, sharpness, bg and details. I agree with the comments about posting a larger version, and perhaps toning down the lichen a bit.
