Default In the Woods - Chestnut-sided Warbler

Around here the woods have all leaved out, but the woodland birds are all singing on territory, and allowing a few looks in their breeding habitat.

    D7000, 300 f/4 AF-S, 1.7TC, hand-held, 1/1250, f/8, ISO1250, EV-0.7, Evaluative metering.

Processed in LR, including curves, selective sharpening, nr etc., with a few bright spots cloned out in PS Elements.

    Thanks for comments,

    Richard

Nice bird, I had the chance to photograph this one last month, it was ready to go back home.

    This is really nice.
Good IQ and love the eye details.
I would consider dodging the black stem on the RHS to lessen its impact or just clone it out.
Whites on back of neck are a bit hot.
    Excellent DOF as well,
    Gail

Fine detail and color. Might try to tone down the bright BG a bit.

Good looking individual, and I like the fresh greenery. Perfect head angle, and details seem alright too. Wish the branch did not merge with the belly, and I find the subject a bit big in the frame. Worth toning down the whites during raw conversion...

Nice pose and colours. It looks like you had to deal with some harsh light.
