    This Sanderling,(thanks for the ID help Lloyd), would not allow any other bird near it's feeding territory. It seemed to expend more energy chasing off other birds then it did feeding.

    Joe, you handled the side lighting well, love the low shooting angle and the ruffled feathers!

    Great attitude on the bird and good low angle on your part. Just wish for better light.

    Great behavior; love the ruffled look. And the low POV. Lighting already noted. I wonder if a touch of s/h tool might help mitigate it?

    The harshness of the light is the biggest issue here. Nice pose, it really does look like an aggressive fella! Nice clean beach with just enough "bumps" to make it interesting.
