    I couldn't resist posting this to Out of the Box for obvious reasons! Tree Swallow captured today at Sackville Waterfowl Park. Out of the Box for aesthetic reasons as well. I always liked the way Robert Bateman (Canadian nature artist) used to do this sort of thing in his images and I try to duplicate when possible- that is, make the subject small and place in out of the way location in the composition, as almost an afterthought.

    Amazing to me that Ap. of f7.1@ 700mm gave you perfect focus on the complete depth of the house and bird! Did you do this by calculation or DOF preview?
