Maureen and I went to a meet-up with a great group of photographers in St. Petersburg last weekend. I was experimenting with diffused images straight from the camera - I sprayed hair spray on a UV lens and this is what I came up with. Some of the images I added grain in Lightroom, some just tweaked exposure.

I like what the hairspray did, Cheryl. I thought it was too too funny that you brought hairspray with you but now I see why

Good idea Cheryl, reminds me of the old trick of using Vaseline on the lens (note - DO NOT DO THIS! put it on an old UV filter if you want to try it!). I like the nice uniform diffusion you created, reminds me of an Orton effect.

I would never have thought of using hair spray in this manner, but I like the results. Nice softness and glow. Lovely image. I would do a bit of a camera distortion correction to straighten the buildings that seem to be leaning outward. Lovely colors.
