    Hi Karl. Nice shot of this cheeky little guy. Good head angle, and an unusual takeoff pose. I might be tempted to have him a little smaller in the frame.

    Karl,

    Nice timing on the wing up position. Catchlight is great and bg, although a bit unusual in texture, is great!

    I wish the perch weren't "in the way", although then he wouldn't be taking off, huh?

    Karl, perfect pose frozen with the wings up so nicely. slight motion blur in the head but you probably were not expecting this( considering your ISO). Nevertheless, an awesome shot really. terrific details, colors, Bg and comp.

    Love the comp and the colors on this one, Karl. As noted, slight little blur on the head—but I did not notice it at first look. Neat!

    Very dynamic! love the BG and perch but I would tone down the bright parts a tad.

    Terrific photo of a very hard to get up close subject.
    They just flit from branch to branch where I live, never still.
    I have never seen a wings up photo of one, great work!
