    Default A Portrait after bath

My visit to the north of India gave me one interesting bird group called the laughing thrushes made images of a few, saw glimpses of few , heard a few and still dreaming of the once i missed, one of the most active lot of bird , this one is the White throated laughing thrush and one of the common of this family .
Here i used a hide and was setup for the smaller birds however this guy came too near and i was with the 400 + 2x so decided to make a portrait. The bird was trying to shake of the water and was kindof vibrating it wings to get rid of water so have some motion blur there, however i wanted to try this out

Let me know your views, this was originally vertical and then went horizontal so there is canvas extended on left.

Wonderful feather detail and background. You might try it with some off the right side bringing it to "drape" of the orange feathers and eliminating the V between the back and the photo's edge. Wonderful photo either way.

    Vishal,

Great detail and colors throughout. The wet feathers are a plus!

I might take Jeannean's suggestion and try taking a bit off the right. Right now he's just a bit too centered and I don't think the right edge adds much.

I think this is superb, Vishal.
Nice IQ, color, detail, I agree a bit off the right.

Excellent portrait with wonderful sharpness and nice colors. Love the wet feathers and blue eye.
I would go for tight crop.Beautiful BG too.
