This looks like one of those images that you are supposed to stare at intently and see a whole other image appear!
Seriously, I love the "trompe d'oeuil" effect and the scalloped layers behind the neck. Reminds me of Tiffany glass as well.
Love the rich blues. I could see this as a vertical as well or with a sliver off the bottom.
A higher ISO would have allowed you a bigger DOF but you got away with f 5.0.

HI Robert, Like the way you have managed the left and right side bottom border angle as these birds keep moving. Also to get these very fine feathers sharp would make me think you have clicked at the correct time when the bird was still. Lovely color and detail makes this a fine photogarph.

Lovely image and subject. Wonder if this image is level. If you have the space to do a little bit of CW rotation, you could crop some off of the bottom, and I think it would be even more powerful. Colors are just stunning and agree with Gail on the DOF.
