I took this image at Rondeau Provincial Park in southern Ontario. Its one of those must-go-to destinations during spring migration.

Just outside the visitors centre they have a group of feeders and its a great place to up close and personal with migrating birds.

It's reliable spot for Gnatcatchers, Titmouse, Grosebeak's, Orioles and this year a Yellow-throated Warbler.

I cropped the image, added some canvas to the bottom, applied Topaz Clean effect and then a Fotosketcher Oil Painting effect.

Migration is coming to an end, the birds are nesting now...time to give them a break until the young are fledged.

    Ciao for now

Beautifully done, Paul. I love grosbeaks and was fortunate to have a couple at my feeder earlier for spring migration and then get to see them again at my sister's feeder in the mountains of Georgia as they made their way up north. (Not the same ones of course)

Very nice image Paul! I have grosbeaks for a couple of weeks in early May mostly. I have made a good many pics over the past few years but didn't make any this year. They always flew off when I had time to do it!

Nice portrait Paul. How cool to travel to the good spots during migration! Love the grosbeaks, they sometime show up at my feeder here in Southern California. The most common ones I see here are the Blue Grosbeaks. Nice job!

Stunning image Paul! I realy like the oil painting effect on this one.

I am still kicking myself for not being able to go with you this time.
