    Default American Robin

A quintessential American bird for Memorial Day. Despite their presence in my yard I have rarely photographed them for some reason. Here, I was sitting in a local marsh hoping in vain that a wood duck would fly in, and amusing myself watching this guy trying to keep his feet dry. Small crop, levels, a little water cleanup. Also experimented with a slight touch of newly-purchased Nik Detail Extractor on the bird.

I like the habitat in this image, and the implied lean of the bird as he goes down to drink.

Plainly attractive birds, you've captured this one with some nice habitat. Detail in the bird looks good.

I like the "natural" setting to this image, as opposed to lawns and parks we are used to seeing them in (nothing wrong with that, just that "natural is even better ). Love the leaning pose and fresh green grasses poking up from the marsh.

I agree, nice habitat shot of a more common bird with good looking detail and color. Well done. Oh, I like the comp too.
