    Taken at Mankwe Dam, Pilansberg National Park. The bird took off when the crocodile (visible in photo) came a bit close. I removed some dirt spots but am not sure whether there is enough detail on the near wing.
    All comments appreciated.

    Hi Pieter, Nice timing, for both you and the Egret... I agree there is not a lot of detail on the wing and its apparent that this was taken in quite intense sunlight so it was always going to be difficult... I like the water trailing and the croc 'in shot'.. I would isolate the water and apply a bit of NR.. DON

    Love seeing that croc in the BG telling us that bird was getting the heck out of dodge! Your image needs a slight CCW rotation. You can tell b/c your wing is not matching its reflection. Nice lift off pose and tells a good story.
