    Default Northern Mockingbird

Took this on a paralyzingly cold morning in February 2013.
Got off a few rounds before the battery quit on me.

The overall color in this image is very nice, the bird really pops from the BG. I really like this but I think you need to try some different crops.

I love what you were going for here. The colors are awesome, I can feel the chill. I would like to see the bird placed more to the left and up. I think it will make for a more powerful image.

The subject pops nicely in this setting and light. I dig the small in the frame offerings from you lately!
Kind of looks like buckthorn or hackberry?...which I'd bet the mockingbird was eating....Pretty cool that
nothing twig wise was in front of the bird.

It's a Buckthorn which is an invasive plant with benefits. A lot of birds rely on the berries throughout the winter months. I just walked around until there were no branches intersecting the bird. Thanks Shawn.....you gonna post something soon?
