Wanted to travel light and experiment on this outing. Maybe a little more illustrative than photographic for most tastes and I did miss a little bit of funky fringing on the upper chest but I wasn't too disappointed with how it turned out, curious to hear other's take. Subject is in shade, BG is a sunlit hillside. Stacked 1.4xII and 2xII TCs on the 400DO with the 5dMKII, tripod mount, cable release, f13, 1/80s, ISO 1600, small crop from right and bottom.

Steven, did you have to manually focus with stacked converters? I like this image much...the bright background is a perfect compliment to the black bird.

    Thanks for the comments folks.

    Grace,
My 5DMKII will autofocus with stacked 1.4x TCs but I have to manually focus when stacking the 2x and 1.4x. Helps to use IS and Live View 10x for focusing, MLU and cable release when taking the shot.
