I like this one better than the first, seems to be of a little better IQ. I like the fern and bg.

Lovely! I like this fern better than the first -- it is more delicate, which fits the subject without competing.

Really nice setup with extra nice detail and color in the bird. I like the comp too. Did you try any with higher f-stop....I think just a little more dof would be nice to bring the lower breast and back foot into focus.

Superb IQ. A nice creamy, complimentary BG and I like the angle and patterns provided by the fern branch.

Gorgeous image! I've been seeing a few of these lately, and you've captured it wonderfully. The fern adds a bit of delicate interest.

sweet pose and ambiance Dan! did wish for a bit more DOF, especially to get the right foot in focus.

Another great picture of this hard to shoot bird, Daniel. They like to stay on the top of the tree.

My eye keeps going from the bird's eye to the fern, all attention is focused there, and the feet out of focus don't bother me at all here. (Personal taste). Nice addition to your collection, Daniel.

Beautiful. Love the ferns, and the bird. You were apparently so close to him that a stop (or two?) might have helped on the bird, but I know you didn't want too much detail in the bg. I hear these guys constantly in the forest, but can almost never find them. When I do, they're up high in the trees.
